Kora, who settled on the banks of the Kaliyar river, was blessed with two sons, Mathula and Kora (often referred to as Kunji Kora), as per the records at the Karakkunnam Church. During those times, a prevailing patriarchal system placed greater importance on male offspring as the preservers of family titles and traditions. The elder son, Mathula, relocated to Kuravakkadu after his marriage. The name "Kuravakkadu" is believed to have been influenced by the presence of the Kurava tribe in the region. Over time, the Kakkanattu Family that settled there acquired a new identity and became known as the Kuravakkattu family, a name that has since held historical significance in our family's journey.
