The descendants of Mani (Kakkanattu Mathulla Kora’s second son) belong to the Nakapuzha unit Mani had two sons- Chandi and Kuruvila. Chandi had a natural flare for acrobatics. He sought training under the able guidance of Givarghere Panicker Ashan (Guru Teacher) at Val-likada Kalari, Avoly.There he bought a piece of land from Moolek-kudiyil family and settled there. His progeny were later known as Moolekkudiyil family members. Kuruvila ( Mathula Kora’s youngest son) married Rosa from Arakunnel Family. They were blessed with five sons – Mani (Thaimattathil), Mathai (Neernal), Kora (Vazhappillil), Varkey (Korotte Kakkanattu), Ulahannan (Thazhathe Kakkanattu) and two daughters – Annam and Mariam. (By now you must be familiar with the evolvement of family titles) The Grandsons of Ulahannan- Iype and Chacko were referred to as Kizhakkedathu Puthenpurayil and Idasheril respectively. Due to residen-tial translocation, the aforesaid family group, save the Moolekudiyil family come under the aegis of St. Mary’s Church, Nagapuzha Parish.
